ClearSpecs Enterprises was founded in late '01 as a privately-held company, based in Minnesota. It is now an Arizona corporation.
The ClearSpecs Mission is to increase the likelihood of project success by promoting clear, verified, and risk-managed requirements. Through education and coaching services, ClearSpecs supports powerful techniques for requirements development and risk management, so that software organizations can increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs. He has more than 35 years experience in software engineering with an emphasis on system requirements and software quality, verification, and testing (SQVT). During the last 7 years, David has been an educator and tool developer focused on requirements specification and verification. Before that, David was an SQVT consultant/mentor and instructor (18 yrs), quality support manager (5 yrs), verification lead (2 yrs), project lead (2 yrs), and programmer (5 yrs). He has consulted for both commercial and in-house software development organizations. In 1986, David co-founded Software Quality Engineering (www.sqe.com, www.stickyminds.com), the leading provider of software quality information worldwide. He also catalyzed the launch of Better Software magazine. In addition, David chaired the development of both ANSI/IEEE standards on software testing 829-1983 on software test documentation and 1008-1987 on software unit testing. David is chief architect of:
